Concrete Calligraphy ( Under Construction)

Concrete Calligraphy is a celebration of the city's motion.
Detroit writes its story in light, and I move to catch the handwriting. This series is not documentation of Detroit; it's the traces of my participation in it.
This is the second half of a circuit that began with Via Negativa - Meditations. That project descended into stillness and subtraction. This one is the current running back through, with motion, color, contact, and pulse. Where one found meaning in what remained after emptying, this one finds it in what returns.
The city is both canvas and palette here, through focus on its color, its glass, its weather; velocity becoming the marks themselves. These represent what a moment felt like, moving through it, alive and fully present.
